Gateway Flying Club was formed in the 1970's at the Gateway Airport in Ramsey, Minnesota. When the airport closed, the club moved to the Anoka County Blaine (ANE) Airport. Gateway Flying Club is organized as a nonprofit Minnesota Corporation with each member owning one share. Gateway owns a hangar/clubhouse and four airplanes, each flown approximately 300 hours per year.

Its all about choice and freedom. All of our airplanes made "Flying Magazine's" 100 best planes list! Four different airplanes cover a wide range of flying needs: Our Cessna 172 "Skyhawk" is an inexpensive trainer that helps members earn certificates and ratings, and its the perfect plane for pattern work or a little afternoon sightseeing. Our 177 "Cardinal" is arguably Cessna's best kept secret; its fast, fuel efficient, comfortable and well equipped. It is a perfect instrument trainer and makes a great cross-country plane. Our 182 "Skylane" is affectionately called "The flying pickup truck" and is the perfect flying machine for a family vacation or a trip to the hunting lodge. The Newest addition to our fleet, the Piper PA-32RT-300 "Lance" is truly the SUV of the air. It's 6 seats and impressive cargo capacity make it a favorite for hauling people and their stuff!
